Welcome to Dr. Ford's American Government class online!

This is an app that is connected directly to my personal webpage so it will allow us all to connect and that much easier! Of course, Canvas is where all assignments will be done, and turned in, but this is a new feature I noticed available through my webpage and it looks kinda fun! For example, you can download the spaces by Wix app, search fr my website (nicolefordphd.com) then hit "join) ! This is what I recommend because it will be more convenient for you because the group will be right there and you can chat straight from the group! Or you can go to my website, there is a "live chat" feature in the bottom right-hand corner you can use at any time! If I am near my phone I will most likely see it and be able to respond right away! If not, it will still send me a notification and I can get back to you sooner!

I'd also like to use this as a place where we can share news and information about what is happening in domestic politics and US foreign policy. But-- we need to be sure we are sharing RELIABLE source material! This is a helpful chart. Try to stick within the green box to draw on your sources for news and info for this course! (anything outside is going to be questioned and the orange and red-- definitely not reliable) You can also get together here and post questions about the course-- and feel free to answer and talk to one another! PLUS-- we can also unwind a little. I love memes and chonky animals. So memes and animal pixs and videos are always welcome, too! I look forward to meeting all of you and I know we will have a great semester!
